GRBO

How GRBO works

A listing board for space people already own. We introduce the two of you and then get out of the way.

If you have space to rent out

  1. Drop a pin on the property. We verify it is a real, mailable address. Your exact address is never shown publicly — searchers see the neighbourhood and an approximate marker.
  2. Describe the space and add photos. Up to ten. Dimensions, access hours, whether it is gated, whether an RV fits — the specific stuff is what gets you contacted.
  3. Pay once and publish. 10% of the first month's rent, minimum $5. A $200/month garage costs $20. There is no monthly fee and no renewal — the listing stays up until you take it down.
  4. Answer enquiries in your GRBO inbox. Your email address is not shared. You decide when, or whether, to hand over real contact details.

If you need space

  1. Search without an account. Browsing is completely free and requires no sign-up.
  2. Message the owner. That part needs a confirmed account, which is what keeps the site free of bots. Messages relay through GRBO, so neither side gives up an email address to start a conversation.
  3. Agree terms directly with the owner. GRBO is not a party to your arrangement and never handles rent, deposits or leases.

If nothing near you is listed

Most unused space has never been listed anywhere, because the owner never thought about renting it. You can drop a pin on any property and we will mail the owner a letter asking — $2.00, first class. You never learn their name or address, and they are under no obligation to reply.

What GRBO does not do

  • We do not take a cut of your rent. Ever.
  • We do not hold deposits or process rent payments.
  • We do not act as an agent, broker, or property manager.
  • We do not run ads, upsells, or “customers also viewed” carousels.
